Protect your nuts – hammer sleeve or hammer holder?

When it comes to carrying your hammer on site, every tradesperson has a preference. Some stick with a traditional hammer holder, while others have switched to a hammer sleeve and wouldn’t go back. At Monster Rigs, we reckon both have their place, but the hammer sleeve brings a few clever benefits that make life on site a bit easier.

The hammer sleeve advantage

A hammer sleeve tucks neatly behind your tool pouch, keeping your hammer close to your body and out of the way while you work. It’s simple, smart, and helps stop your hammer from swinging into your leg or worse. That tight, tucked position makes it more comfortable and balanced, especially when climbing scaffolds, framing, or moving fast on site.

It also helps protect your gear and your body, keeping everything snug, tidy, and safe.

Now dont get me wrong we are not knocking the hammer holder

The hammer holder still does the job well. It’s quick to reach, familiar to most trades, and perfect for repetitive hammer use. Some prefer the lower hang, and that’s fine too. It’s all about what fits your style and workflow. Monster Rigs isn’t about one being better than the other, we’re about giving trades the choice to work how they want.

How monster rigs does it differently, we do something others don't  we use a fidlock and velco system.

Our hammer sleeves are built into our screw gun holders, so you get double the function in one piece of kit. Whether you wear your rig on the left or right, the sleeve fits naturally behind your main pouch for comfort and convenience. Like all Monster Rigs gear, it’s built tough and designed for real jobsite use.

Did I mention every full rig setup come with a free hammer holder or hammer sleeve your choice !

Coming soon

In future, all Monster Rigs tool belts will include a built-in hammer sleeve as standard. No extras, no add-ons just part of the system. Once you’ve used one, you’ll never want to go back.
